An invitation from Club Alpine Renault to join their Summer Tour
At Cobham, Surrey
From Andy Owler, the organiser of "The Summer Tour" of Club Alpine Renault.
We would like to invite members of the R.O.C. to join our Summer "Touring Assembly" on Sunday August 11th. Summary: Start at 10am from Cobham, Surrey (near M25, J10), Coffee and Comfort Stop around 1130 with a late lunch near the M3/J5.
The route is around 65 miles of Surrey and Hampshire country lanes, as "cycle-free" as possible on a Sunday! Open to all Renault cars and derivatives as well as your shopping car if you do not want to use your pride and joy!
This in NOT a rally, although there are similarities such as the use of a Route Book with distances and detailed instructions as well as some "Tulip Diagrams" where they are helpful. There is no timing, map-reading nor prizes. No special maps are needed, nor "Red-Mist" expected either.
Our objective is to give you a fun day out finishing at a nice pub with choice of late lunch. Kids and Grand-Parents are welcome too
Cost for the Route Book and the admin is £15 per car. Lunch and any other expenses are for the entrant to cover.
